About FindMyBranch
FindMyBranch is complete NEET-PG counselling help. It shows which MD, MS, DNB and diploma seats closed near your rank in past years. Then it helps with the rest of counselling: the round dates, the documents, fees, service bond and stipend, what residents say about a college, calls with PG students and interns, and a counselling expert you can ask questions.
This page tells you who builds it, where the numbers come from, and how we check them.
Who builds it
FindMyBranch is built by Dr. Rajiv Marechal, MBBS, MS (pursuing), FICCM (Tamil Nadu Medical Council Reg. No. 158351). It is part of Rajiv Marechal, his personal brand. He also reviews the guides on this site.
Where the numbers come from
Every closing rank on FindMyBranch comes from the allotment result lists that the counselling bodies publish themselves. We read these official lists ourselves. We never use another website’s predictions or estimates.
- MCC (the Medical Counselling Committee, which runs All India counselling): All India Quota seats, deemed university seats (including their Management and NRI seats) and DNB seats, for every round we could get, from Round 1 to the stray vacancy round. Years: 2020 to 2025.
- The Tamil Nadu Selection Committee: Government Quota and Management Quota seats in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu ranks candidates by its own merit list, called GRANK, not by your All India Rank. It keeps a separate rank list for the Management Quota, so we record that rank for those seats. Years: 2019 to 2025.
- CENTAC Puducherry (the Centralised Admission Committee): Government Quota and Management Quota seats in Puducherry. CENTAC uses your All India Rank. Years: 2020 to 2025.
- 27 more state counsellings, each from the seat lists its own counselling body publishes: Andhra Pradesh: Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences; Assam: DME Assam; Bihar: BCECEB (PGMAC); Chandigarh: Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32 (GMCH-32); Chhattisgarh: DME Chhattisgarh; Delhi (DU/IP quota): MCC (Delhi University and IP University quota); Goa: DTE Goa (Goa Medical College); Gujarat: ACPGMEC; Haryana: DMER Haryana / UHSR; Himachal Pradesh: Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU); Jammu and Kashmir: J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE); Jharkhand: JCECEB; Karnataka: KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority); Kerala: CEE Kerala; Madhya Pradesh: DME Madhya Pradesh; Maharashtra: State CET Cell Maharashtra (DMER PG Medical CAP); Manipur: State Level Medical PG Counselling Committee, Manipur (RIMS and JNIMS Imphal); Meghalaya: North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong; Odisha: PG Medical Counselling Committee Odisha (DMET); Punjab: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS); Rajasthan: Rajasthan NEET PG Admission/Counselling Board; Sikkim: Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim (SMIMS); Telangana: KNRUHS; Tripura: Directorate of Medical Education (TRMCC); Uttar Pradesh: DGME Uttar Pradesh (upneet.gov.in); Uttarakhand: Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU); West Bengal: WBMCC. Each state’s page shows which years and rounds we have.
How much data we have changes from year to year and from round to round.
Fees, service bond and stipend. We show these where we found them. Stipend and service bond figures come from state government orders, counselling brochures and college notices. For most states we have not read the government order itself, so check it before you rely on a figure. We mark a figure “confirmed” when we have checked it, and “partly confirmed” when part of it is missing or we could not fully check it. Fees come from different places: NBEMS’s fee rules for DNB seats, state government orders and colleges’ own fee documents. When a fee has not been checked for that exact college, the card says so. You can see every stipend and bond figure on one page: stipend and bond by state.
How we check the numbers
- What a closing rank means. A closing rank is the rank of the last person who got that seat, in that category, in that year. It records what really happened. It is not a cutoff that anyone set.
- We never guess one category’s rank from another’s. If your category has no figure for a seat, we do not make one up. Open seats are different: anyone can win an open seat on merit (UR in MCC, OC in Tamil Nadu, GEN in Puducherry). So if your own category has no figure that year, we may show the open-seat figure, and the card says it is an open seat.
- PwD seats have their own figures. In MCC data, PwD allotments are kept inside each category (for example SC PwD), so an allotment marked PwD is never mixed into an ordinary seat’s figure.
- In-service candidates are left out of Tamil Nadu’s lists. Doctors already in government service get seats through their own reservation, often at much worse ranks. Counting them would make a seat look easier for you than it really is.
- Open-seat figures that look mixed up are hidden. If an open-seat figure is more than three times worse than every reserved-category figure for the same seat and year, it may come from a mix-up in the list (for example a PwD allotment printed without its PwD mark). We do not use it. We show an earlier year instead, or leave the seat out.
- Stray round figures are kept apart. Stray and special stray rounds fill the last empty seats, often at very different ranks, so we show them on their own and never mix them into the normal rounds. Some older years only have one final list with every round in it; the card says “all rounds combined” for those.
- New rounds are checked before they go live. When MCC posts a new round, we check it first: the file must be the year and round it says it is, almost every row must read cleanly, the ranks must make sense, and no earlier year’s figures may change. If any check fails, nothing goes live. State counselling bodies change the layout of their lists most years, so each new state list is read and added on its own.
What FindMyBranch is not
- FindMyBranch is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with MCC, NBE (now NBEMS), NMC, any state counselling authority, or any medical college. NBEMS runs the NEET-PG exam and DNB training; NMC, the National Medical Commission, looks after medical education in India.
- It is not an official counselling website. You still register, fill your choices and pay on the official counselling sites.
- A closing rank records the past. It is not a promise of a seat. This year the same seat can close at a better or a worse rank. Always check important things against the official notices. See our terms for more.
Found a mistake?
If a number, a college name or anything else looks wrong, email support@findmybranch.com. Tell us the college, the course, the category and the year, and where you saw the right figure if you can. We check it against the official allotment list, and if the site is wrong, we fix it.
