What’s new for INI-CET January 2027
Exam on 1 November 2026, result expected on 7 November 2026. Your internship must be finished by 31 January 2027.
AIIMS’s seat list is out: 1,562 MD/MS, DM and MCh seats at 23 institutes (tentative, Notice 154/2026 of 23 September 2026). Your results are checked against it: a branch with no seat for you this session is listed apart, not counted.
NIMHANS offers only MCh Neurosurgery (2 seats) this session: no MD Psychiatry, no DM and no Karnataka or North-East domicile seats.
JIPMER has 119 seats, with no MCh Neurosurgery, MCh Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery or MDS seats this session.
SCTIMST: Transfusion Medicine has no open (UR) seat (1 SC, 1 OBC), and MCh Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery is new (3 seats).
12 branches are new at their institute, with no past closing rank, for example MCh Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery at AIIMS Nagpur and Mangalagiri, Family Medicine at AIIMS Raebareli and Guwahati, and DM Infectious Diseases at AIIMS Jammu.
Fees, stipends and leaving penalties are the same as July 2026, except NIMHANS MD/MS (course total ₹73,250, was ₹73,150) and JIPMER, which no longer asks for a month’s notice when you leave mid-course.
