Documents checklist
From MCC’s NEET-PG 2025 Information Bulletin and the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee’s 2025 prospectus. Check the 2026 versions the day they appear; internship cut-off dates change every year.
Nobody loses a seat because the counselling was hard. They lose it because one paper was in the wrong form on reporting day. Print this, tick it off before registration opens, and keep the originals and one set of self-attested copies in a single folder for the whole season.
1. MCC (All India Quota, deemed, central, DNB)
| Document | Required form |
|---|---|
| NEET-PG 2026 admit card | Printout of the NBEMS admit card. |
| NEET-PG 2026 result / rank letter | NBEMS scorecard printout with rank and category. |
| MBBS degree certificate or provisional degree certificate | Original. A provisional certificate is accepted; a mark sheet alone is not. |
| MBBS mark sheets, all professional years | Originals of every year, including any supplementary attempt. |
| Internship completion certificate | Original, on the college's letterhead, signed and stamped by the Dean or Principal. Internship must be completed by the date MCC's bulletin names (check the current bulletin: it moves each year). A certificate that is unsigned or unstamped has cost candidates an allotted seat. |
| Permanent or provisional MCI / NMC / State Medical Council registration | Original. Provisional registration is accepted at counselling; permanent is needed to join. |
| Date of birth proof | Class 10 certificate or equivalent, original. |
| Photo identity | Aadhaar, PAN, passport, voter ID or driving licence, original plus copy. |
| Category certificate (OBC-NCL / SC / ST / EWS) | In the Government of India format for central-quota seats, issued by the competent authority. OBC and EWS certificates must be for the current financial year; a state-format OBC certificate is not accepted for MCC seats. |
| PwD certificate | Only from one of MCC's designated disability assessment boards, named in the bulletin. A general hospital disability certificate is not accepted. |
| Passport-size photographs | The same photograph used on the NEET-PG application, 6 to 8 copies. |
| Registration fee and security deposit receipts | Printouts. Keep the transaction reference; the deposit refund is processed against it. |
| Allotment letter | Downloaded from mcc.nic.in after each round, printed. Reporting without it is refused. |
| For NRI-quota seats | Passport of the sponsor, proof of relationship, embassy certificate, sponsorship affidavit, exactly as the bulletin's NRI definition sets out; MCC restated this definition in 2026. |
2. Tamil Nadu Selection Committee, in addition
| Document | Required form |
|---|---|
| Selection Committee application and registration printouts | With the fee receipt and the application number (25PG10xxxx for Government Quota, 25PG20xxxx for Management Quota; the two lists are separate registrations). |
| Nativity / domicile | Tamil Nadu nativity certificate, or the Class 10 and 12 certificates showing study in Tamil Nadu, per the prospectus. |
| Community certificate | Tamil Nadu format (OC / BC / BCM / MBC & DNC / SC / SCA / ST), issued in Tamil Nadu. A central-format OBC certificate does not serve here. |
| In-service certificate, if applying as in-service | From the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, with service particulars. In-service candidates are ranked on a separate list. |
| Bond and undertaking | On stamp paper of the value the prospectus states, notarised, for government-quota seats. Bring it filled; blank forms at the venue are not guaranteed. |
| Everything in the MCC list above | Degree, mark sheets, internship completion, registration, ID and photographs, in original. |
Puducherry’s CENTAC asks for the MCC set plus its own residence certificate for Government Quota seats; see the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry guide.
3. The mistakes that actually cost seats
- Internship certificate unsigned, unstamped, or dated after the cut-off date in the bulletin. This is the recorded reason candidates have lost an allotted seat at reporting.
- OBC certificate in the state format, or from a previous financial year, presented for an MCC (central) seat. Get the Government of India format for the current year before registration opens, not after allotment.
- PwD certificate from a hospital that is not one of MCC's designated boards. The assessment takes a visit; plan it before Round 1.
- Reporting after the date on the allotment letter. The seat is cancelled and, from Round 2 on, the security deposit is forfeited.
- Not ticking "willing to upgrade" at Round 1 reporting, then expecting Round 2 upgradation.
- Holding an MCC seat when the state result comes, and missing MCC's resignation window: the state seat is lost. See the AIQ versus state page.
- Photocopies only. Every item above must be produced in original at reporting, with one set of self-attested copies.
