Documents you need for NEET-PG counselling: MCC and Tamil Nadu checklist

A seat can be lost because one paper was in the wrong form on reporting day. Print this, tick it off before registration opens, and keep the originals and a set of self-attested copies in a single folder for the whole season.

3. The mistakes that actually cost seats
- Internship certificate unsigned, unstamped, or showing a completion date after the cut-off in the bulletin. The bulletin cancels admission where the documents are found not to be in order.
- OBC certificate in the state format, or from a previous financial year, presented for an MCC (central) seat. Get the Government of India format, based on the financial year ending 31 March 2026, before registration opens, not after allotment.
- PwD certificate from a hospital that is not one of MCC's designated boards. The bulletin asks for the online eligibility certificate from a designated board before choice filling starts, so plan the assessment early.
- Not reporting inside the reporting dates of the schedule. From Round 2 on, a seat you do not join costs the security deposit.
- Not giving your willingness to upgrade (Float) in Round 1, then expecting Round 2 upgradation.
- Holding an MCC seat when the state result comes, and missing MCC’s resignation window: the state seat is lost. See whether to keep or resign your MCC seat.
- Photocopies only. The bulletin says candidates without original certificates are not allowed to take admission. Colleges can ask for more, so check with the college before you travel.
