Dates MCC moved
MCC’s first schedule, of 14 August 2026, set different dates for the last two rounds:
- Round 3: registration 22 Sept 2026 to 27 Sept 2026, result 30 Sept 2026, reporting 1 Oct 2026 to 8 Oct 2026.
- Stray vacancy round: registration 12 Oct 2026 to 14 Oct 2026, result 16 Oct 2026, reporting 17 Oct 2026 to 24 Oct 2026.
The revised schedule of 30 September replaced both. The dates in the tables above are the revised ones. In that revised schedule, the Round 3 choice-filling cell says “3rd Oct., 2026 to 8th Oct., 2026” but also prints “8th Sept.” once; its choice-locking line ends at 10 AM on 8 October, so 8 October is shown here.
Reading the schedule
- Registration and payment: registration closes at 3 PM on the last day; payment stays open until 6 PM that day.
- Choice filling and locking: choice locking opens at 4 PM the day before choice filling closes.
- Reporting and joining: the days to report at the college you were allotted.
- MCC asked participating colleges to treat Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days during counselling.
What each round allows, and what leaving a seat costs, is in how NEET-MDS counselling works and Round 3 and the stray round. State MDS counselling (for example Tamil Nadu) runs on its own dates, which are not on this page. NEET-PG dates are on the NEET-PG calendar.
