1. What this site actually uses

This site keeps cookies and browser storage to a minimum. Currently, that’s these:

• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*, and similar). These help us understand how many people visit the site, which pages they use, and roughly where visitors are coming from, so we can improve the tool. They are set when you use the site, as the notice on your first visit says.
• Meta Pixel cookies (_fbp). This is a small tracker from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It tells us how many people who saw our posts and ads on Facebook or Instagram then came to this site, so we can see which posts work. It runs when you use the site, as the notice on your first visit says. Meta’s own rules apply to the data it collects; see Meta’s privacy policy.
• Google Ads conversion cookie (_gcl_aw, and our own copy fmb_gclaw, 90 days). If you reach the site from one of our Google ads, the link carries Google’s click id. We keep it so that, if you later pay, Google Ads can tell that the ad led to a purchase.
• A campaign cookie (fmb_attr, ours, 30 days). If you arrive from a link with campaign tags, such as one of our Instagram or Facebook posts or our own emails, it keeps those tags (or, when there are none, the name of the app that opened the link, or “direct”) so that, if you pay, we can see which post or campaign brought you. It holds only campaign tags, whether the click came from a Meta or Google ad, and the referring website’s name; no email, rank or name, and it is not shared. It is set whether or not you accept the banner, because it never leaves our own server.
• Vercel Web Analytics. Anonymous page-view and button-click counts from our host. It sets no cookie and does not follow you across sites.
• Affiliate cookies (Amazon and Flipkart). The product links on our PG essentials page are affiliate links. We set no cookie for them. When you click one, Amazon.in or Flipkart may set a cookie on their own site to record that the visit came from FindMyBranch, so we earn a small commission if you buy; your price does not change. These cookies are set and controlled by Amazon and Flipkart under their own policies (see Amazon’s cookies notice and Flipkart’s privacy policy), and you can clear them in your browser like any other cookie.
• A “you’ve paid” flag, your email, your answers and your consent choice in local storage (technically browser local storage, not a cookie, but similar in effect — it stays on your device, not on our server, and only we read it). The paid flag is set after you unlock the full results, so returning to the site in the same browser doesn’t ask you to pay again; the email and answers (with a short-lived session note of where your visit started) save you retyping; the consent choice is set when you accept or decline cookies, so the banner doesn’t show every visit. These are essential to how the site functions and aren’t affected by the cookie banner choice.

2. Why we use them

The Analytics, Meta Pixel and affiliate cookies exist to understand and fund the site — analytics tells us what’s actually useful to candidates, and affiliate commissions help keep the free preview free. This site shows no ads. The local-storage flags exist purely for your convenience, so a one-time payment isn’t asked for twice on the same device and you’re not re-asked for a cookie choice you already made.

3. Your choices

• The cookie notice. On your first visit a short notice tells you that the site uses cookies; by using the site you agree to them, and “OK” hides the notice. If you pressed “Decline” on our earlier cookie banner, we still honour it: no Meta Pixel, and Google’s tag sets no cookies and sends only anonymous, cookieless signals. To opt out now, block or delete this site’s cookies in your browser (below) or write to us.
• You can block or delete cookies and local storage entirely through your browser’s own privacy settings. If you do, you can still use the free preview normally; you’ll just need to use “Already paid? Restore access” with your email if you’ve previously unlocked full results and your local storage gets cleared.

4. A note for visitors from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland

This site’s primary audience is NEET-PG candidates in India, and this policy is written mainly with reference to Indian law (see below). If you’re visiting from the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, be aware that the cookie notice described above is a good-faith baseline, not a certified consent-management platform — Google’s own publisher policies for those regions expect a more formal setup (e.g. Google’s Funding Choices) than a small independent site currently has in place.

If the cookies or tracking this site uses change, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will change.
