Documents you need for NEET-MDS counselling: MCC checklist
Based on MCC’s NEET-MDS Counselling 2026 bulletin and user guide, and NBEMS’s 2026 result notice (listed under Sources). Dates such as the internship cut-off change every year. The internship cut-off is 31 May 2026, as in MCC’s bulletin. MCC’s user guide mentions 30 June 2026; check MCC’s latest notice before you register.
A seat is easy to lose over one paper in the wrong form. Collect these early, keep the originals and one set of self-attested copies in one folder, and keep clear PDF scans ready to upload.

Check my MDS options1. Keep these from NBEMS
- Your NEET-MDS 2026 admit card and your result or rank letter. MCC lists both for joining.
- Your scorecard. NBEMS put it on natboard.edu.in from 10 June 2026, for download for six months only. Download it and keep copies. MCC asks for it for NRI documents and for the PwD Eligibility Certificate.
- If NBEMS used your BDS aggregate percentage to break a tie, the college checks it against your mark sheets at admission. A wrong figure cancels your candidature.
2. At registration (online upload)
- Register with the mobile number and email you gave NBEMS. They are filled in for you, and OTPs go only there. If you have a foreign number, give an Indian number too.
- Upload a clear PDF of a cancelled cheque, passbook page or bank statement showing your account. MCC uses it to verify your account details.
- NRI, OCI, foreign national, and Indian-to-NRI candidates upload their documents at registration. MCC checks them online, and NRI seats show up only after that check.
- Every upload is a PDF, not password-protected, between 20 KB and 500 KB. Compress a bigger file, but keep it easy to read.
3. After you get a seat: Freeze or Float
- Both Freeze and Float candidates upload clear scans of their documents on MCC’s portal within the reporting time. One upload serves all rounds. MCC prefers it within 2 to 3 days of the final result. You can also fetch documents from DigiLocker.
- Float: the college’s nodal officer checks your uploads online. Blurred copies, wrong certificates, a category claim that does not match, or missing papers are raised as a query. Re-upload the corrected file in time, or the seat is cancelled.
- Freeze: you go to the college with the originals. The college checks them, you pay the admission fee, and it keeps your original certificates.
- After the Round 3 result, everyone allotted in Round 3 and every Float candidate who was not upgraded must report in person with the originals.
4. Originals to carry when you join

| OBC-NCL certificate (if you claim it) | Essential if claimed. The sub-caste must be on the Central list of OBCs, and you must not be in the creamy layer. In the bulletin's format; for 2026 the family income is for the financial year ending 31 March 2026. |
| EWS certificate (if you claim it) | Essential if claimed. As per Central Government norms, in the bulletin's format, in English or Hindi, for the financial year the bulletin names. |
| PwD Eligibility Certificate (if you claim it) | Essential if claimed. Only from one of MCC's designated Primary Medical Assessment Boards, made online. A certificate from any other hospital or authority is not accepted. |
| NRI or OCI sponsorship documents (if you claim an NRI seat) | Essential if claimed. Bring them in original when you report. |
Without the original certificates you are not allowed to take admission. MCC adds that a college may ask for more, so check with your allotted college before you go.
5. PwD candidates: get the Eligibility Certificate early
- Visit one of MCC’s Primary Medical Assessment Boards. The list is Annexure 1 of the bulletin.
- Take your NEET-MDS 2026 scorecard, your permanent UDID card, a self-certified affidavit of your functional abilities (Schedule I), and the NMC affidavits (Appendix A, and the one for your disability from Appendix B to F).
- The board makes the certificate online. You need it before choice filling starts, or PwD seats are not shown to you.
- It is valid for this academic session only.
- A fake UDID card or affidavit means the seat is cancelled and legal action follows.
- If you disagree with the board’s finding, you can ask for a review.
6. NRI seats: documents by group
- Everyone: date of birth certificate, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and pass certificates, NEET-MDS scorecard and your valid passport.
- NRI candidate, or NRI parent, brother or sister: an NRI certificate from the Indian Embassy or Consulate, a notarised affidavit that the sponsor will pay the whole course fee and living costs, backed by an NRE bank passbook, and the relationship verified by a revenue officer such as a Tehsildar.
- Indian changing to NRI: the legal guardian’s passport and NRI certificate, legal proof of guardianship under the Guardians and Wards Act 1890, and a notarised sponsorship affidavit backed by an NRE passbook.
- OCI: your OCI or PIO card. Foreign national: your visa, residence permit or work permit.
Claiming an NRI seat means you cannot also claim a Jain or Muslim minority seat.
7. The mistakes that cost seats
- Not having the proper caste, PwD or EWS certificate at the college. MCC says you will not be allowed to join, and the college cancels the seat.
- Wrong information at registration, or missing documents at admission. The admission is cancelled and the security deposit is forfeited.
- A PwD certificate from a hospital that is not one of MCC's assessment boards, or one made after choice filling has started.
- An OBC certificate whose sub-caste is not on the Central list, or one for the wrong financial year.
- A certificate in a regional language with no certified English or Hindi version. MCC advises carrying a certified English copy with the original.
- Your name spelled differently on two documents, with no affidavit or undertaking to show they are both yours.
- Blurred or wrong uploads, or not re-uploading in time after the college raises a query. The seat can be cancelled.
- Reporting on the last day. MCC notes that some colleges take 2 to 3 days to finish admission.
- Losing the NBEMS scorecard. It can be downloaded only for six months after it is released.
State counselling is separate. Each state sets its own eligibility rules, such as domicile, and its own forms, so read your state’s own prospectus for its list. Related: how NEET-MDS counselling works and MDS free exit and security deposit.
