Get the most out of FindMyBranch for NEET-MDS

How to use the MDS options page, step by step. Everything named here is on the site today. Counselling rules are from MCC’s NEET-MDS Counselling 2026 bulletin (listed under Sources).

MDS options does one job well: it checks your rank against the official MDS allotment results and sorts every seat you can take into very likely, possible and hard. It does not fill choices or register you anywhere. Use it to find and sort your seats, then do the rest on MCC’s and your state’s own sites.

1. Pick the right rank first

The first screen asks which rank you have. MDS seats are filled through two separate exams:

The two exams have different rank scales. The site never puts them on one list.

2. Answer each step carefully

3. Read a result card in thirty seconds

You seeWhat it meansWhat to do with it
Very likely / Possible / HardYour rank against the last recorded closing rank for a seat you can take. Very likely means you are at least 5% ahead; possible means within 15% behind; hard is further.Hard seats go first in your list, possible ones in the middle, very likely ones last.
Closing rank, year and roundThe rank of the last person who got that seat, from the newest year with a seat you can take.A Round 3 figure is usually looser than a Round 1 figure. Compare like with like.
Your roomThe closing rank minus your rank. A plus number means you would have got in that year.A small plus is not a safe seat. Look at the trend too.
Tags“Paid seat”, “State-quota seat, private college”, and the state’s name on state cards.Check the fee with the college before you put a paid seat on your list.
Fee, bond, leaving the seat, stipendShown only where we found it in an official document. Where we have no confirmed fee, the card says “Fee not confirmed — check with the college”. A missing bond, leaving-penalty or stipend line means we do not have it.A bond or a leaving penalty is part of the price of the seat.
TrendOne bar per year for that seat. One year is not a trend. See whether it is steady.
⚑ and residents’ commentsReports and approved comments about the college. Each card also lets you share your own experience.A signal to ask about, never a verdict.

Sort by “Best seats first”, by closing rank, or by your own branch order, and filter by tier or by counselling. For more on reading the numbers, see how to read a NEET-MDS closing rank.

4. Free preview, then the full list

FreeThe ₹499 MDS purchase adds
Three seats in full (your best government seat, your best state-quota seat at a private college where you have one, and one stretch seat), and the true count of very likely, possible and hard seats. The public closing ranks by branch and all the guides.Every option in every group, each round’s closing rank for the seat, and the stray-round figure (kept apart from the groups).

5. Turn the results into your MCC choice list

6. Act correctly in each round

7. The mistakes that cost MDS seats

  1. Entering a category rank or a state rank where the overall NEET-MDS rank is asked.
  2. Comparing a Round 3 closing rank with a Round 1 one.
  3. Reading a deemed university paid seat’s rank as if it were an All India Quota seat.
  4. Ticking an internal, minority or NRI quota you are not eligible for.
  5. Putting a safe seat above better ones in the list.
  6. Filling Round 2 or Round 3 choices you would not join.
  7. Choosing Float, then filling choices when you wanted to keep your seat.
  8. Getting the PwD Eligibility Certificate after choice filling has started.
  9. Ignoring the fee and the bond until after allotment.
  10. Joining a Round 3 seat without knowing it is final.
